Tenant Support in Housing

Over 4 million people in the UK live in social housing, with some social housing tenants being at their most vulnerable.

It’s important that anyone working in the sector has a sound understanding of the range of services provided by social housing, the issues that tenants might face, and how to correctly record and report any problems.

This free course is split into 5 manageable units:

  1. Introduction to the social housing sector
  2. Understand the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity
  3. Understand mental and physically ill health
  4. Understand reasons for problematic behaviour
  5. Understand issues affecting isolated tenants
  • Achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification
  • Evidence your competency to employers
  • Further your personal and professional development
  • Learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college

Fully funded subject to meeting the eligibility criteria:

  • Been in the UK or EU for three years for purposes other than study
  • 19+ at the start of the academic year (19-23-year-olds must have Level 2 prior attainment)
  • Not on an apprenticeship
  • Not completed any part of the course before

 

Excluding the following devolved combined authorities: Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, North Tyne, Bristol/Bath & West Midlands.
